A Family Legacy in Brazilian Gemstones

The Georges family's connection to Brazilian gemstones began three generations ago, when Brian's grandfather first traveled to Minas Gerais in search of the extraordinary stones that the region had long been known to produce. What started as a single sourcing trip became a lifelong pursuit — and eventually, a family calling.

Brian Georges carries that tradition forward today, making regular trips to Brazil to personally inspect rough material at the source, build relationships with mine operators, and select only the stones that meet the exacting standards his family has maintained for decades.

Every gemstone in our collection has been touched by Brian's hands and evaluated against those standards. We do not buy from brokers or secondary markets. We source directly — which means you receive stones with complete provenance, honest grading, and a price that reflects their true value.

What we stand for

Our Principles

Direct Sourcing

We travel to Brazil multiple times per year to select stones at the mine level. No middlemen, no mystery origins.

Honest Grading

Every stone is described accurately — inclusions, treatments, and all. We believe informed buyers become lifelong clients.

Generational Relationships

Our Brazilian partners have worked with the Georges family for decades. That trust translates directly into access to the finest material.

Personal Service

When you contact Georges Fine Gems, you speak with Brian directly — not a sales team. Every inquiry receives his personal attention.

The gemologist

Meet Brian Georges

Third-Generation Gemologist

Brian Georges grew up surrounded by gemstones — literally. His father and grandfather before him were both deeply embedded in the Brazilian gem trade, and Brian spent his formative years learning to evaluate rough material, understand crystal structure, and recognize the subtle qualities that separate an exceptional stone from a merely good one.

Today, Brian is the sole buyer, grader, and point of contact for Georges Fine Gems. He personally selects every stone in the collection, writes every description, and handles every client relationship. That level of personal involvement is rare in the gem trade — and it is the foundation on which this business was built.
